Can you at least hint at what the title for Episode 3 is? (SuperShadow: No, it’s one of Lucas’ crucial secrets.)

Dear SS. I just discovered your site and for some reason, I can't stay away from it. (SuperShadow: Mega cool.) I have a question that I realize might have been addressed before so sorry about that. It has to do with light sabers and it has been nagging at me for years. When first seen in Episode 4 STAR WARS: A New Hope, it was clear that a light saber could slice thru limbs and bodies quite easily, similar to a hot knife thru butter. Knowing this and watching Episode 6 Return of the Jedi, I and others like me were very disappointed by the light saber effects in the opening sequence when used to escape from Jabba over the sand pit. (SuperShadow: Great point. Luke appears to be swinging at air.) The light sabers seemed to just bounce off of people as though they were being hit by a stick, which I am assuming that they actually were, which was unfortunately, obvious. Taking into account how Episode 4 has now been tweaked and improved, the question is, wouldn't Lucas want to tweak this scene so that people are being properly sliced and diced with body parts flying off and/or falling apart into several pieces? Thanks for everything. (SuperShadow: Superb idea, but Lucas says he can’t make that scene more physically graphic without losing a PG rating. Lucas says these Star Wars films are intended mostly for children so the violence has to be kept toned down.)

Hey, first time on your site, very informative. I have a quick question. I was just watching Episode II and I was wondering who this character Sifo Dyas is? Any info would be great. Thanks (SuperShadow: Sifo Dyas was a mysterious Jedi Knight who perished around the time of Episode 1. Nothing is known about this particular Jedi.)

Who would win, Wolverine vs. Mace Windu with no saber? (SuperShadow: Windu would probably win. Windu could easily use the Force to crush Wolverine’s wind pipe.)

If Lucas is going to remake the classic Star Wars trilogy with computer animation, why doesn't he do the same for the sequel trilogy? Then Luke, Leia and Co. are still young. It is much better than remaking the classic trilogy because it takes away everything that made the classics so special. Can you please forward this to Lucas? Great Site, by the way, far better than the official Star Wars site! (SuperShadow: Nice idea, but Lucas says he doesn’t have the energy left to create the sequel trilogy. Lucas says he would rather spend his time improving the classic trilogy.)

What’s up, Supes? Question: How come in Return of the Jedi Luke yelled in pain when a blaster bolt hit his right hand? The one that had been replaced. Is this a mess up or is the hand built to sense pain? I don't know why anyone would want a replacement hand that feels pain. It would hamper your abilities to fight. (SuperShadow: Lucas says that hand replacements in Star Wars are made to be sensitive to pain so that the artificial hand/arm feels real.)

Hey, awesome site! (SuperShadow: Thanks.) I have read somewhere that at least two other planets, in a different galaxy, have been discovered. The two planets are similar to Mercury and Venus. My question is, do you believe the next planet in that galaxy will be like Earth? If this is not true, then how close do you think we are to finding a planet like our own? (SuperShadow: We will not find an inhabited planet like ours within the foreseeable future. We simply lack the necessary technology to detect other planets that have living life forms on them.)

SS, great site. I’ve been a fan for over a year now. Question 1: Are you familiar with Kyle Katarn? (SuperShadow: Yes.) What is his midichlorian count? (SuperShadow: 11,370.) And what about the reborn Desann, part of a game JEDI KNIGHT II - JEDI OUTCAST, considered to be the best STAR WARS game ever? (SuperShadow: I’m not familiar with that game.) Question 2: What about Darth Bane? Was he really Sidious' apprentice after Maul? (SuperShadow: You’re referring to Darth Rage, not Bane.) And how does Dooku come into the picture that quickly? 10 years is a long time. Just curious? Thanks. (SuperShadow: Lucas has yet to reveal how Dooku met Sidious.)

Hey Sup, I got a question about a comment Yoda made to Mace Windu at the end of Episode 1. He said "Always two there are, no more, no less..." Now my question is, how does he know THAT? (SuperShadow: Great question. It seems like Lucas has made yet another plot inconsistency.) The last contact the Jedi had with the Sith was at Ruusan and there were thousands of them. And after the War, the Jedi thought they were extinct. Bane came up with the rule of two in secret, right? So how does Yoda know of it? Thanks, man, keep up the good work. (SuperShadow: Obviously, there is no way that Yoda could know about the Sith rule if the Sith remained hidden for a millennia.)

In Episode 3, how much more has Anakin’s ability with the Force grown? (SuperShadow: Anakin is much more powerful in Episode 3.) And if it has, who would he be able to defeat in light-sabre duels? Thanks SS. Unreal site! (SuperShadow: By the time of Episode 3, Anakin can probably beat any Jedi except Obi-Wan, Mace Windu and Yoda.)

Hey, SuperShadow, a lot of people complained about Jake Lloyd's acting in Episode 1. I watched it the other day and his only bad moments are when Lucas' script lets him down. (SuperShadow: Superb point. An actor cannot be any better than the script.)

Hey SuperShadow, I'm sure everybody is curious as to where the final Obi-Wan vs. Anakin fight will take place. I've just seen Episode 2 the other day, it's starting to get sad the amount of times I've seen it, (SuperShadow: Hahaha.) and noticed something. During the speeder chase on Coruscant, particularly when Anakin or Obi-Wan are free falling, it seems that the lowest level of the city has a river of lava flowing through it. Could the final battle possibly take place on the ground level of Coruscant? It would be a great place to hold the final battle with Lucas' use of colour to set the mood. This dark environment would be perfect. (SuperShadow: Great idea. I will forward it to Lucas. It would be cool to see Anakin and Obi-Wan do battle in the bowels of Coruscant.)

Hey S.S., by far you’ve got the best site on the net, but onto my question. Do the colors of the light sabers mean anything? I would think they are just random, but if that’s so, then why do the Sith always have red? Never stop the great work. Thanks. (SuperShadow: Lucas says that Jedi use green or blue light sabers with Mace Windu being the only one to use a purple-bladed light saber. The Sith always carry red-bladed light sabers.)

Hey Suppa, in the E.U. how does Chewbacca die? I hear he dies two different times in different books. Chewie is left on a planet that blows up and I hear that he is killed by a bounty hunter. The books are too long to read (SuperShadow: Much, much too long.) so how does he die? Thanks. (SuperShadow: All I can say is that Chewbacca goes down in a blaze of glory.)

Hey Supes, I have heard Jango Fett is going to return in Ep. 3. Can you shed some light in this? (SS: False rumor. Jango is permanently gone. However, Boba Fett will be appearing in Episode 3.)

Hi SS, If Obi-wan joined Count Dooku in Episode II, would they have tried to defeat Darth Sidious and would they be successful or was this just a trick by Dooku? (SS: Dooku really wanted Obi-Wan to join him so that they could destroy Sidious. If Obi-Wan had joined Dooku, Sidious still would have been able to defeat both Obi-Wan and Dooku.)

How about putting a date on the Ep. 3 plot summary so we know if it has been updated or not? Thanks! (SS: O.K.)

Without the aid of computer effects, do you expect Anakin and Obi-Wan's light-sabre duel to be the fastest ever seen? (SS: Yes. It will be very hectic.)

To keep the "mystery" of Leia, maybe Ep. 3 should just reference the birth of a baby, not the birth of twins. (SS: Great idea, but Lucas says we will actually see baby Luke and Leia at the end of Episode 3.)

SS, I have to ask, in the time line you have listed, isn't there another e-book after Truce at Bakura? (SS: I dunno.) I have it in one of the New Jedi Order books. I was wondering if you know what it's about? (SS: Never heard of it.) I also think that in the Jedi Academy when they discuss Luke coming back from the dark side, they should have elaborated more than just a few paragraphs about it. I mean, there are EU fans that don't read the comic books. Thanks for the links to Hyperspace. (SS: Lucas has asked me not to post anymore info from Hyperspace. Sorry.)

The site is killer cool! (SS: Thanks.) My comment, or it could be a request, is since Lucas is not going to have the Jedi Massacre in Ep. 3, what about LucasArts creating a video game on PS2, Gameboy and PC? (SS: Superb idea.) As a player you could choose to be an early version of the mechanical Vader and hunt down the Jedi or choose to be a Jedi Knight of some sort to help the Jedi cause, what do you think? (SS: I love this idea a lot.) Also why is Lucas re-doing the original trilogy in 2017? That's like 12 years after Ep. 3! I understand Lucas may want a break after Ep. 3. Is there any reason why 2017? Please answer if you could! Thanks! (SS: Lucas says he wants something to occupy his time during his twilight years.)

Hey S.S. Imagine all the episodes all together. I think my title fits the mold, perhaps. Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Episode III: Last of the Jedi, Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. I think Last of the Jedi could possibly work. (SS: Nice title, but Lucas has something more unique already picked out for Episode 3.)

How about these titles for Ep. 3, "Rise of the Sith" or "Fall of the old Republic." (SS: Fantastic titles. I like them both.) It would be cool if they made a Star Wars CGI film or short films like the Animatrix. (SS: I haven’t seen the Animatrix short films so I can’t comment. A computer generated Star Wars film is a great idea.)

Obviously, we must see Boba Fett have a significant role in the Jedi Massacre. As you can tell from the old trilogy, Fett has numerous Jedi padawan braids hanging from his shoulder, meaning he killed a few padawan learners! (SS: Interesting theory, but those are Wookiee braids on Fett’s shoulder, not Jedi ones. If the Jedi Massacre lasted for about a decade, then it is possible that Fett was involved in tracking down and eliminating the Jedi.)

Some time ago I asked you what the refugees that are fleeing in Episode 2 is all about. Image attack on starwars.com gave the answer: The uncertain times in the galaxy has increased the number of refugees aboard tramp freighters, including this odd collection of transients. (SS: Rock on.)

I know that you said that Dooku was a legendary Jedi before turning to the dark side. Was he as great or greater than Qui-Gon Jinn? (SS: Yes, as a Jedi, Dooku was much stronger than Qui-Gon.)

On the Episode III set diary one of the sets they mention is the bridge of a ship. Who commands this ship? Is it Tarkin or is it Bail Organa? (SS: I dunno. We’ll have to wait for a leak from a spy.)

Whussup, SS? I was reading the Hyperspace thing today and I think I found something. Kit Fisto is returning and is being made a brand new head for Episode III that is much more detailed and exact so that it can "withstand tight close-ups." The diary also said a new, experienced stuntman has to play Kit Fisto, probably to help with his light-saber prowess. This basically ensures us of more close up speaking lines and more single light-saber moves, not just in a large scale setting like the Episode II arena, from Kit Fisto. This sounds a whole lot like we may get to see this Jedi in a duel after all. What do you think? (SS: Superb analysis. We may get to see Kit Fisto in some kind of duel.)
